Overview
AM261-SOM-EVM is an evaluation and development board for the Texas Instruments Sitara™ AM261x series of microcontrollers (MCUs). The System-On-Module design with three 120-pin high-speed, high-density connectors is ideal for initial evaluation and rapid prototyping. An XDS110ISO-EVM is required for evaluation using the AM261-SOM-EVM and can be purchased separately.
Features
- Multirail Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) designed for safety-relevant applications
- Three 120-pin controlSOM high-speed, high-density (HD) connectors
- Analog I/O, digital I/O and JTAG signals at board interface
- On-board current monitors and temperature sensor
- On-board memory: 256Mb OSPI NOR Flash and 1Mb I2C EEPROM
- MIPI-60 header for 16-bit TRACE debug

Release Information
Thank you for your interest in the AM261x MCU PLUS Software Development Kit (SDK). This software accelerates application development schedules by eliminating the need to create basic system software functions from scratch.
- The SDK includes a real-time multitasking kernel, network communications support, examples, and drivers.
- The exact content of the SDK depends on the capabilities of the device, but all devices share common APIs and build on existing proven software components to ensure reliability and quality.
- The software components are fully tested to ensure that they work together with TI’s Code Composer Studio integrated development environment.
What's new
- Support for SOM Board and Rev E2 Launchpad.
- FOTA, OTFA Safety and Security Support.
- EDMA Error Handling and LIN LLD Support.
- OSPI PSRAM, OSPI NAND and SBL NAND Support.
- CPSW Cut-through switching Support.
- RMII, RGMII and MII mode Support.
