The TLV612901 is a 5.5V, 11A synchronous boost converter with integrated bypass mode for single-cell battery-powered systems. The device operates over a wide input voltage range and supports startup from 2.2V. The output voltage is programmable through I2C, ranging from 2.35V to 5.5V, with a default value of 5.0V. The TLV612901 is optimized for high power capability, fast transient response, and high efficiency across a wide battery operating range.

The TLV612901 can be used as a high-power pre-regulator to overcome input voltage droop and input current limitations of the powered system while extending battery run time. When the input voltage is higher than the target output voltage, the device automatically enters bypass mode for maximum efficiency. When the input voltage drops below the target output voltage, the device seamlessly transitions into boost mode to maintain the regulated output voltage and enable full use of the battery capacity. The device also supports forced bypass operation through I2C.

The TLV612901 also supports selectable light-load operating mode, output discharge during shutdown, and true disconnection between input and output. The TLV612901 is available in a 16-ball WCSP package.
