The AMC67048 is a highly integrated analog system-guard designed for high-density, general-purpose monitor-control systems, telemetry, and redundancy safety. The AMC67048 has a 12-bit, 250kSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with up to 40 channels. The ADC has a programmable output range from either 0V to 2.5V or 0V to 5V. The device incorporates eight, 12-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) with a high-current drive capable of sourcing and sinking up to 100mA. In addition, the device contains FLEXIO pins that can either be device inputs or outputs, and are part of the device guard logic. The guard logic is designed to simplify monitoring through multiple alarms, out-of-bound ADC monitoring, and sequencing. The FLEXIO and DAC pins can be used as additional ADC channels.

Communication to the device is done through an autodetected, 4-wire SPI-compatible or 2-wire I2C interface.

The AMC67048 high channel density, guard features, wide operating temperature range, and guard logic make this device an excellent choice for system monitoring and redundancy safety monitoring in applications such as servers and avionics telemetry. This device is designed to work independently through the integrated alarm detection or work with an MCU to provide all-in-one system monitoring.
