Overview

The UCC2189X5YQEVM-096 is a compact, half-bridge gate driver board consisting of two single-channel isolated gate drivers. It provides isolated bias supply, drive current and protection needed for driving several different models of Wolfspeed silicon-carbide (SiC) MOSFET modules and other IGBT or SiC MOSFET modules with a similar pinout.

Features
  • Directly compatible with Wolfspeed's FM3 and XM3 modules
  • Compatible with Wolfspeed's BM3 modules with the use of an adapter board
  • LM5185 flyback controllers supply positive and negative bias to the secondary side
  • Status LEDs indicate power-good and fault feedback from each driver
  • Include protection features such as short-circuit detection and active short-circuit functionality
  • Test points for all critical nodes to expedite debugging
