Overview

The TPS7A57 evaluation module (EVM) helps design engineers evaluate the operation and performance of the TPS7A57 linear regulator for possible use in their own circuit application. This EVM configuration contains a single low-noise, high-accuracy, linear regulator for a wide range of applications. The regulator is capable of delivering up to 5 A to the load with low VIN-to-VOUT dropout.

For stability, use a 22-µF (min) up to 3-mF output capacitor. A high-performance load-transient circuit can be added to improve the measurement capability of the EVM.

Features
  • Input voltage range: 0.7 V to 6 V
  • Selectable output voltages: 0.5 V to 5 V
  • VBIAS range: 3 V to 11 V
  • Active output discharge
  • Current reference and unity-gain low dropout (LDO)
