Overview

The TAS65x1-Q1 Evaluation Module (EVM) showcases all the features of the TAS6511-Q1 and TAS6501-Q1 single channel class-D amplifiers with integrated digital signal processing (DSP). The graphical user interface (GUI) called Purepath™ Console is used to interface with USB to the EVM. The EVM has optical and coax SPDIF inputs, I2S, TDM and audio inputs through the USB interface.

Features
  • 30W TAS6511-Q1 or 15W TAS6501-Q1 output power at 10% THD+N into 4Ω with a 14.4V supply amplifier with DSP
  • Optional low-latency signal path to enable time-sensitive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Road Noise Cancellation (RNC) applications
  • EVMs available in space-saving pad-down TSSOP and QFN package options
  • Optical, SPDIF, USB and PSIA (I2S/TDM) audio input options
  • On-board USB to I2C controller using the PPC3 GUI for device evaluation and configuration of features like real-time load diagnostics, thermal monitoring and foldback, SpeakerGuard Pro power limiting, PVDD monitoring and foldback, gain compensation biquads, and other device protection and audio processing features
