Overview

The MCT8315Z is a 4.5V to 35V, 4A peak three-phase gate driver IC with sensored trapezoidal control for motor drive applications. The MCT8315Z provides three integrated half-bridges and a sensored trapezoidal control in a fixed-function state machine capable of directly driving a 3-phase brushless DC motor without a microcontroller. The MCT8315Z integrates a current sensing feature eliminating the need for external sense resistors, an LDO for powering external circuits, three analog Hall comparators and many protection features. The MCT8315ZH and MCT8315ZR variants include an integrated output adjustable buck for powering external circuits.
