The DRV8714H-Q1 evaluation module (EVM) allows easy evaluation of the DRV8714H-Q1 four-channel gate driver with inline current sensing. The device featured on this EVM is the 40-pin 6-mm x 6-mm RHA package variant with a simplified hardware interface. It accepts a wide supply input range from 4.9-V to 40-V DC.
The DRV8714H-Q1 smart gate drive architecture optimizes dead time to prevent shoot-through conditions and control slew rate. Four PWM inputs are used to set the PWM frequency and duty cycle for the assigned output. On and off control is supported if PWM is not required. The current sensing amplifier can be used in low-side or high-side sense configurations.
