Overview

The DRV3901-Q1 is a fully integrated device for driving a pyro-fuse initiator in a 12-V automotive system. The DRV3901-Q1EVM showcases two DRV3901-Q1 devices for flexibility in testing parallel or redundant systems. The device supports an input voltage up to 28 V and runs on a logic supply voltage of 5 V.

Features
  • Fully integrated solution for driving a pyro-fuse initiator in a 12-V automotive system
  • Fault notification on nFAULT pin with recovery and mitigation through SPI
  • SPI or hardware pin-based triggering of the pyro-fuse initiator
  • Built-in-self-test (BIST), functional redundancy and safety mechanisms to enable ASIL C or higher system functional safety
  • Configurable firing pulse (1.2 A / 2 ms, 1.75 A / 0.5 ms, up to 3.5 A / 0.5 ms) - 6% accurate shunt-less current monitor
