Overview

This reference design demonstrates a buck converter using UCC28881 that converts a 120Vac input to a 3.3Vdc output. The use of a coupled inductor helps maintain a longer on-time while achieving an extreme conversion ratio for a non-isolated topology. Like other buck topologies, this design makes a low-voltage ripple output while using minimal output capacitance.
