Overview

The BQ25176K evaluation module (EVM) contains the BQ25176K IC, LDO TPS7B8133 and support circuits needed to operate the evaluation board. An external 5V power supply is needed to power the EVM and charge a 1-cell battery. Charge voltage VREG can be set to seven values using switch S1. Charge current is set by R22 (ISET) value from 60mA to 750mA. A fixed value of 400mA is selected by JP4.

LDO U2 (TPS7B8133) provides 3.3V for housekeeping voltage, powering LED and providing voltage for CE. The NTC is simulated by a 10k resistor and has the option to be adjusted by a trim pot.
