Wireless environmental sensor
Overview
Our integrated circuits and reference designs demonstrate how to monitor various climate factors and wirelessly communicate with heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and other intelligent building management systems, while significantly decreasing maintenance costs.
Design requirements
Wireless environmental sensor designs require:
- Nano-amp quiescent current, high light-load efficient power topologies to enable 10+ years battery life.
- Nano-power sensing and signal chain to measure temperature, humidity, ambient light and air quality.
- Ultra-low-power wireless MCUs to enable communication with 2.4-GHz and Sub-1-GHz networks.
