Our analog front ends (AFEs) for biosensing applications are designed to meet the exacting standards for clinical applications, while bringing an unmatched combination of high performance, low power and small form factor critical for wearables. These AFEs range from standalone signal chains for PPG applications like heart rate monitoring and SpO2, to signal chains that enable the simultaneous acquisition of PPG, ECG and bio-impedance signals. All these AFEs are designed to solve signal conditioning challenges in wearable devices with small form-factor sensors, while allowing for scalability and maximum flexibility for the product designer to come up with an optimized sensor and industrial design that best suits their needs. We also have a portfolio of multi-channel AFEs for clinical ECG/ respiration applications like patient monitoring & diagnostic ECGs.

    Application brief

Optical Heart Rate Monitoring (OHRM) on Wearables

Optical heart rate monitoring (OHRM) uses the principle of photoplethysmography (PPG) to determine the heart rate.
    Application brief

Cuffless Blood Pressure Monitoring on Wearables

Cuffless blood pressure monitoring on a wearable device is based on the concept of pulse wave velocity (PWV) which refers to the velocity of the pulse wave across the arteries due to cardiac activity.
    Application brief

Electrodermal Activity (EDA) for Wearable Devices

Electrodermal activity (EDA) refers to the variation of the electrical conductance of the skin in response to sweat secretion and is linked to mental states like stress, emotion, and cognitive states.
